This week, we're celebrating Children's stories!

Today marks the 17th anniversary of the release of the first Harry Potter book. For me, Harry Potter had a huge influence on my childhood. This book helped me, like so many others, become the person I am today. So, I thought this would be the perfect inspiration for a contest!

This week, we're creating tributes of our favorite children's books! Whatever book you loved as a kid, make a deviation, deviantART Muro drawing, or a piece of literature to celebrate it! It's up to you!

  • Create a deviation or deviantART Muro drawing as a tribute to your favorite children's book! Leave a link or a thumb of it in a comment on this journal.
  • Any medium is acceptable. If you decide to go with literature, please limit it to 1,000 words, or 20 lines, if poetry.
  • Five Premium Members who take part will be selected to win 800 Points each! Selections will be based on creativity and overall impact.
  • All entries must be in Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at 11:59 PM Los Angeles time.

Happy creating deviants! :happybounce:

For me it was also the Harry Potter books!

In year 9 at school, we had to bring in books read in our English class, so my mum bought the 1st three books as she thought I might like them!
I had no idea what they were about or anything, but I enjoyed reading them. Ever since then, all of my family has bought their own copy of every book
Every time I started reading one of the books I found it very difficult to put down!
