Happy Halloween everyone!! Zombie Grabin' Pumpkin Man
 
Today is my favorite holiday, and I'm so happy to be celebrating it with all of you! From the Mini Halloween Reviews to the Spooky Mad Libs to last week's Halloween Contest, we've had some great Halloween fun the past few weeks. I've thoroughly enjoyed it, and I hope all of you wonderful deviants have had some fun too!

    Long time ago, there was a heart-warming home of a modest family of three. Before that, it was nothing more than an old abandoned house. When they moved in, the young couple restored it and planned to raise a family there. Soon enough, their son was born and the old house lit up with joy.
    Their life, however, wasn't easy. Work demanded long trips for the couple. On such occasions, their son would stay under the care of his grandmother, who lived nearby. She wasn't always in best terms with the couple. Still, the boy would often stay for several days and, among many things, he loved grandma's stories of local folklore, witches, bat wing recipes and magic cauldrons. He liked it there. Nevertheless, nothing compared to mom and dad arriving to pick him up and going back home.
    Unfortunately, home vanished from the boy’s life too soon when his parents died in a tragic car accident. His stay at gr

Witch's Brew    Hilda leaned over her cauldron and eyed the contents. It just wasn’t green enough, she thought. Maybe she’d missed something. She checked the recipe again.
    “Eye of newt?” No, she could see them floating on the surface, glaring at her. “Nightshade, maybe.” She tore a few leaves off the plant she kept in the windowsill and dropped them in. The acrid smell of the plant floated up to her on a cloud of steam. It smelled much better now, but it still didn’t look right. She decided to walk away for a moment and clear her head.
    Her broom was covered in cobwebs, but this didn’t bother her. The spiders loved that corner, no matter how much she had tried to discourage them before. The broom itself did mind, though, and shook itself indignantly. Poor thing hated being reminded of its more mundane cousins. Hilda spoke to it in a soft voice as she carried it outside.
